Mentorship

How does it work?

The OxWEST Mentoring programme connects women* and non-binary Oxford students studying STEM subjects at any level with industry experts, academic leaders, or experienced students. This will enable students to make better career choices and allow mentors to connect with young talents. We will pair up mentees with a mentor who is working in the subject/field that they have expressed interest in to ensure both mentee and mentor can get the most out of the experience.

OxWEST’s Mentorship Programme is run on a volunteer basis. We introduce the mentee and mentor to one another via email. We will then keep in the background and check in once in a while to ask how things are going and to encourage you to keep up with your meetings. We also evaluate our mentorship programme through short questionnaires as well as open feedback questions.

how do i get involved?

Applications for the 2022/23 mentorship scheme open on 10th October 2022 and close on 21st October 2022. Have a look below to check out the amazing range of mentors who are volunteering for our programme this year and follow this link to apply!

If you have any questions, please contact us via email. We look forward to welcoming you to the programme!
